When & Where is UFC Fight Night: Burns vs Brady?

This Fight Night card goes live on September 7 at the Apex Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States. It will be the 14th UFC Apex event of the year.

Major Fighters in UFC Fight Night: Burns vs Brady

Gilbert Burns

Gilbert Burns may have lost three of his last five fights, but he’s still the number six ranked fighter in the UFC’s welterweight division and an overall record of 22-7 in his professional MMA career. His losses have come against some of the best fighters, including Kamaru Usman, Khamzat Chimaev, and current champion Belal Muhammad. He’s now lost two in a row and will want to get back in the win column to keep his chances of a title shot alive.

Sean Brady

Sean Brady has a 16-1 record, with six wins out of seven in the UFC since entering the promotion in 2019. His one loss came to the current welterweight champion, Belal Muhammad, so he’ll be keen to keep climbing up the rankings and earn the chance to avenge that loss. Brady has been unfortunate with cancelled fights, but his last fight was an impressive submission win against Kelvin Gastellum.

Jessica Andrade

Andrade is a former strawweight champion but moved to flyweight after losing her title. Although she had some success, she moved back to strawweight, where she lost to Yan Xiaonan and Tatiana Suarez. Despite these losses, she won her next two fights, including an incredibly impressive performance against McKenzie Dern, where she broke the record for the most knockdowns in a women’s MMA fight. Her overall record is now 26-12.

Natalia Silva

Natalia Silva is a fresh new prospect in the women’s flyweight division and is so far undefeated in the UFC. She has a 17-5-1 record and a current win streak of eleven fights. Not only is she winning fights, but she’s also showing excellent finishing ability, with two impressive KO wins in the UFC and several submission and KO victories earlier in her career.

Fight Card & Betting Odds

Main Event

  • Gilbert Burns vs Sean Brady

Burns is coming off two losses as he approaches 40 in an increasingly competitive division. His last wins were mostly against aging opponents, and he’s probably not going to get back in the title picture despite currently being ranked sixth in the division. While he’s a great fighter with a lot of heart, he was finished late on in his last fight.

Sean Brady’s only loss in his career is to the current champion of the division, and a win over Burns would put him into title contention. Unsurprisingly, he’s the UFC odds betting favourite in this matchup, although Burns will still be a tough test for him.

Co-Main Event

  • Jessica Andrade vs Natalia Silva

Andrade will make her return to the flyweight division after her two recent wins at strawweight. She’s ranked sixth in the flyweight division and fourth at strawweight, and she’s well known for being one of the hardest hitters in both divisions. While she’s powerful, she can be countered by speed and technique and is susceptible to being out-grappled too.

Silva has been on an incredible run since 2017, winning eleven fights in a row and looking impressive in the UFC since her debut in 2022. She’s currently ranked eighth in the division, and this will be her biggest test by far. Due to her dominance so far, she’s a heavy favourite in the MMA odds for this main card fight.
